Steal her style- Amanda Seyfried edition

Mama Mia, it is Amanda Seyfried, sorry I couldn’t help it. I have been a huge fan of Amanda’s for a while. She has an incredible voice and rocked it in Les Mis and Mamma Mia. As Mama Mia, here we go again is coming out there seems like there is no better time to have a look at this lovely lady and her often boho looks so we can steal her style.

The queen of gold
Amanda Seyfried is well known for her gorgeous long, blonde locks and it matches this golden gown perfectly. Large waves are the perfect way to add some flow and movement to the centre parted look and it works so beautifully with the flowing dress she rocked at the MET Gala. I have a sneaking suspicion she got that extra body from hair extensions and not just her own hair. Who could blame her? They are a girl’s hair best friend. If you are wearing an accessory use Amanda’s trick and add volume behind it for that Hollywood glamour.

Going to the dark side
There are two things Amanda seems to gravitate to a lot: 1. period looks 2. a centre parting. She has got both in this fab neuvo gothic look. This style looks stunning on her and her black lace neckline and the skirt is the perfect backdrop for her dramatic hairstyle. The trick to get this look is to curl your hair with really small curling wands like chopstick curlers or, if you are using an averagely sized barrel, use curl in small sections at the tight end of the barrel. If you really want to make it dramatic pin back your hair either side of your part with an ornate hairpin. What a great way to draw attention to your eye area and show off your awesome curls at the same time.

The everyday casual look
This style is deceptively simple. It looks like the grown-up version on Jennifer Anniston’s look in season 3 of Friends. It is almost certain to suit everyone with the most straight (or those who like to straighten it) layers a centre part the suits every face shape. What Amanda, or at least her stylists, have been really clever in going here is consider her face shape. She has a lovely heart-shaped face she has curled the ends in sightly to elongate her face.

The barely-there waves
This look is such a power look and I love it! If you are going for a suit for the final look it can be hard to find a style that feels right. Too pulled back and updo can look austere but this is a perfect balance of casual and formal. The side part and slight wave is, once again, vintage inspired. It may not be as wavy as 40’s looks but it definitely has that feel, the swept over the shoulder look is a great way to draw attention to your best side.
